AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts men’s basketball team will take on Colorado in the opening game of the 2022 Myrtle Beach Invitational at the HTC Center in Conway, S.C. on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 1:30 p.m. on ESPNU. The invitational features Massachusetts along with Colorado, Charlotte, Boise State, Loyola, Murray State, Texas A&M, and Tulsa.
The Minutemen will play either Murray State or Texas A&M on ESPN2 or ESPNU in the following round on Friday, Nov. 18 with the final game of the invitational set for Sunday, Nov. 20.
Owned and operated by ESPN Events, the 2022 Myrtle Beach Invitational is an eight-team, 12-game bracketed tournament that features six schools that posted winning records last season with five squads advancing to the post-season. Boise State, Loyola Chicago and Murray State competed in the NCAA after winning their league’s post-season tournaments. Colorado joined Texas A&M in the NIT where the Aggies advanced to the championship game against Xavier at Madison Square Garden.
